RECHARGE FOR THE BETTER!

Do you need power?

Any known organism is biologically, structurally and functionally made up of many million cells. This is a proven fact which we cannot argue with. But, are organisms only made up of cells? No.

Batteries are also made up of cells. What is so fascinating about them that they have the concept of cells in common with us living things?

Maybe people, back then, thought both organisms and batteries are both powerful parts of the universe. Jokes apart, in one way or the other, they were right!

Now things bring us to the topic for the day - batteries.

Batteries - mini magic:

Single A, Double A, Triple A, a lot more and hey, we have used all forms of it. Isn’t it magical to have power in our pockets? These things, though small, help us in doing many things in our day to day life.

Right from changing a channel in your TV, or switching on the AC etc. they give us a lot more ability to make things going in life. If people cannot live with electricity, people cannot live without batteries either.

Hmm. What now about batteries? Everyone knows what they are. Well, we have some interesting things coming up in the following lines. Keep reading.

Over the last decade, a rough estimate tells that 3 billion batteries are bought by American just to keep their radios, transistors, remotes, etc. alive. And, do you know what is more interesting? There are many other types of batteries as well!

Even automobiles run on batteries to aid them with some of the functioning. The quantity of batteries produced there is another huge thing to imagine about. And whatnot, many remote and wireless inventions use batteries as their primary source of power. Source: Illinois Library

Power comes with a price:

The facts might have given you goosebumps, but there is something dangerous in them too, which needs to be pondered. A lot of batteries produced per year means a lot of battery goes out every now and then.

Our poor champion can empower us for sometime only, later he dies. Nothing to worry, we replace champions and resume the work. But, what about the older ones that are disposed of?

Batteries have a lot of toxic and heavy metals which are to be taken severe care of. They have also evolved over the years from liquid to solid to prevent many problems. Nevertheless, they still carry toxic materials.

That leaves us with a question. Are we living our present and ruining our future, by throwing away the batteries and contaminating the world? Unfortunately, yes. What can we do instead is.. Will follow.

Recharge and reuse:

Rechargeable batteries are the latest generations of batteries. Why not use them? They do not wear out easily. Numbers tell us that they leave 28 times less impact on the society over the traditional use and throw alternatives. Source: BuyABattery

A simple inference which we can draw from their name itself is that it takes much less to charge the battery again than to create a new one. In that way, this proves to be a more efficient and eco-friendly alternative.

Main concern regarding the usage of such batteries is that they are costly. But in the long run, things are different. So, I highly recommend you to use rechargeable batteries and do our part to stop contaminating the world.

In that way, we can preserve nature and keep it as beautiful as it is now, for future visitors. If you pledge to do so, you can buy some great quality NiHM rechargeable batteries from the link given here. Thanks for reading.
